Training Programme

This half day course for is designed to help participants develop their communication skills with regard to unplanned pregnancy. Course content includes guidelines for undertaking a pregnancy test and making appropriate referrals utilising case scenarios. will be utilised to develop the skills necessary to support women make informed decisions.
   

 

Programme Aims

To provide participants with the necessary skills in order to competently support women to make informed decisions regarding unplanned pregnancy.
   

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Raise awareness of own attitudes and belief systems
  • Identify the principles of basic counselling skills.
  • Be confident to undertake a pregnancy test and to effectively communicate results
  • Increase knowledge on pregnancy options.
  • Identify local referral services
