Training Programme
This is a half day course for reception and administration staff including those working in surgeries, contraception or genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinics and Children’s Centres. The course seeks to enable reception and administration staff to develop the skills necessary to provide a high quality sexual health service. The course provides an understanding of the key issues for working with young people and the ‘You’re welcome’ quality criteria is integral to the training course. |

Programme Aims
To provide participants with the skills to confidently communicate about sexual health and to have an understanding of the key sexual health issues including: consent and confidentiality, Sexual Offences Act 2003 and Safeguarding Children 2005/2008. |

Learning Outcomes
- To enable professionals to be aware of their own personal belief systems
- To equip participants with the knowledge and skills to offer confidential, non-judgemental sexual health services
- To provide participants with an understanding of the key sexual health issues for young people including: consent and confidentiality, Sexual Offences Act 2003 and Safeguarding Children 2005/2008.
