Carol Robinson: Director
BSc (Hons) Community Health, RGN, NDN, Higher Diploma Nursing, Cert Counselling, PG Cert Education, Specialist Contraceptive Nurse, Independent Nurse Prescriber Carol Robinson pioneered HYP HOP whilst working as a sexual health outreach nurse in Thanet East Kent an area of high deprivation with high rates of teenage pregnancy. In 2006 Carol set up HYP HOP Limited. She is the Managing Director of HYP HOP and Senior Lecturer in Sexual Health at Canterbury Christ Church University. Carol has considerable experience working in the field of sexual health having worked as a sexual health outreach nurse, specialist contraceptive nurse and lecturer. This has included working with vulnerable groups of young people including Looked After Children, young people excluded from mainstream education, unaccompanied asylum seekers, young people involved in the criminal justice system and teenage parents including a young father's project. Her work has included needs assessments and research, sex and relationships education policy development and the provision of sex and relationship education and parenting programmes. Carol now lectures in sexual health including contraception and fertility control, sexually transmitted infections including HIV, cervical screening, adolescent health and sexuality, young people's reproductive sexual health and sex and relationships education: communicating effectively with young people at Canterbury Christ Church University. Carol is committed to promoting high quality sex and relationships education to young people and sexual health training for professionals.

Laura Jones: Training Consultant
BSc (Hons) Community Health, RGN, Higher Diploma Child Health, Family Planning Nurse (Young People), PC Cert Education Laura Jones is a Sexual Health Outreach Nurse working with vulnerable, hard to reach young people in an area of high deprivation. The aim of her work is to reduce the rates of teenage pregnancy and improve the sexual health of the young people she works with. This work is varied and often diverse and includes running sexual health outreach clinics, working with young parents, youth offender groups, Looked After Children, ethnic minority groups and those excluded from mainstream education. Her work includes the delivery of the HYP HOP and other programmes of sex and relationship education to groups of identified young people and co professionals. Laura has been involved with the delivery of HYP HOP to both young people and the training of those working with young people for three and half years and is passionate about the positive messages that HYP HOP promotes to its recipients. Laura has extensive experience of working with young people, including many years as a paediatric nurse and working as a school nurse with specific responsibility for adolescent health. She currently enjoys sessional lecturing in aspects of sexual health at Canterbury Christchurch University, as well as her current role. She is a qualified young person's family planning nurse and holds a Higher National Diploma in child health as well as a BSc in community health. Laura completed a Post Compulsory certificate in Education last year.

Jinny Robinson: Training Consultant
BSc (HONS) RN Adult Nursing, BSc (HONS) RM Midwifery, FP Cert. At present Jinny is a community midwife working within a disadvantaged area offering enhanced and extended maternity services to vulnerable women and their families. With a lead role in teenage pregnancy Jinny has a key role in the development and provision of services to support young parents and parents to be. In April 2007 Jinny attended a reception at Number 10, Downing Street in recognition of excellence within maternity services. In November 2007 Jinny was winner of the Nursing Times Maternity Services award. Jinny is a family planning nurse for mainstream contraceptive and sexual health care services in Kent. As well as the above roles Jinny has been working for HYP HOP as a training consultant. Jinny co-wrote the RASH Cards resource with Carol Robinson. Additionally Jinny has been actively involved with the delivery of education programmes and is keen for front line professionals and practitioners to empower young people to make informed decisions regarding their personal and sexual health.

Peter Marchant: Administration and Information Technology Consultant
At present Peter is a user support technician for Adastra Software Ltd. Previously Peter worked as a data monitoring officer within a Children's Centre providing him with expertise in working in a multi agency setting which develops and provides services to young children to ensure that they have the best possible start in life. Peter has been working for HYP HOP for the past year and has been actively involved in the marketing and administration aspect of HYP HOP Ltd. Peter has developed expert skills in graphic design and has been closely involved in the design of HYP HOP resources.
